How Veteran Passport works

FROM SOURCE RECORD.
TO PROOF YOU CONTROL.

Create one account, establish the claims your evidence supports, keep the records you choose, and authorize each share on your terms.

Five clear steps

PROVE IT ONCE.
CARRY IT FORWARD.

The Passport responds to where you are in the military lifecycle and keeps you informed from the first upload through every authorized share.

01

Choose your service path

Select currently serving, veteran, or retired—then your branch and component.

02

Add relevant evidence

See branch-aware guidance and upload the official record available to you.

03

Establish supported claims

JointProof reviews the evidence and issues only the service claims it supports.

04

Choose what stays

Keep selected source documents in your Identity Vault until you remove them.

05

Authorize each share

Share claims first or separately release an original with time-limited, revocable access.

Two ways to share

THE FACT.
OR THE FILE.

A verified claim and an original source document are intentionally separate decisions. The default is to prove only the approved fact. You release the complete document only when an organization truly requires it.

You decide what stays

A CLEAR RECORD
RETENTION CHOICE.

Temporary evidence used only for verification and records you deliberately keep in your Vault serve different purposes.

MINIMIZE

Verification evidence

Evidence used only to complete verification follows the published retention policy. Holding less unnecessary data reduces exposure.

KEEP

Your Identity Vault

Select “Keep” for records you want available in your account. Those documents remain in your Vault until you remove them.
